Clarence G. Bair
February 20, 1941 — October 30, 2006
Age 65, preceded in death by wife, Janice (nee Fish) and grandson; Daniel Mock; beloved husband of Sue Bair; loving father of Janelle (Charles), Julie Mock, and Joe (Terri) Bair; step-father to Brian (Cristie) and Dawn Jackson; proud grandfather of Isaiah, Kyle, Bethany, Taylor, Drew, Chynna, Wyatt, Greta and Kaitlyn; son of Romena Bair and the late Albert Bair; brother of Juliana and Cloyd (Carolyn) Bair. Also survived by a niece; nephew; and 4 great nieces; and one great nephew.
Clarence worked for the J.C. Penney Company for 38 years. Over those years he was a coach for youth when his children were in sports, a Boy Scout Leader, Sunday school teacher, member of the Jaycees, and most recently was an active member of the Fairfield Optimist Club. Each season he helped mow the soccer fields for the youth.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. Funeral services will be 1p.m., Thursday November 2, 2006 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorials may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation.
