Claude Lewis, age 90 of Hamilton, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at Glen Meadows. He was born June 10, 1913 the son of Johnnie and Martha (Houston) Lewis. Claude married Virgie Callahan in September of 1934. Claude was born and raised in Laurel County, KY where he grew up working on the family farm, and continued until moving to Hamilton in 1951. Mr. Lewis was a simple man who enjoyed a hard day's work. He was proud of his farming and his work at Mosler. He and Virgie enjoyed living in their Hamilton house, sitting on the porch talking to the passer-by's. Here, they spent 37 years in the same home. Claude also loved to fish and hunt, but nothing brought him more joy than that of his family.
