Clifford Frye

Clifford Frye, age 82, a resident of Fairfield passed away Friday, 6/25/04 at Mercy Hospital, Fairfield.

Clifford was born August 8th, 1921 in Rose Hill Virginia, the son of C.H. and Talitha Miracle Frye. In 1947 in Hamilton he was married to Axie Frye and enjoyed over 50 years of marriage before her death in 2001. Clifford retired from Fisher Body after 37 years of service and was a long time member of Fairfield Baptist Church. A very special granddaughter, Jeanette Berger, and her husband Dennis of Fairfield survive him, as well as Four great grandchildren, Chelsey, Jill, Joni, & D.J. Three brothers, Walter Frye, Truman Frye, and Eugene Frye, and three sisters, Nancy Miller, Pauline Burkes, and Nora Thomas. He was proceeded in death by his wife Axie, a daughter, Billie Jean, three brothers, Birchell, Cecil, and Ewell, and a sister Nell McCain. Clifford also leaves a special brother-in-law Jack Burkes who was a constant caregiver to Clifford the last couple years. The Family would also like to thank the nurses and Staff at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield, and the Staff of The Waterford of Fairfield. There will be a short graveside memorial service Monday June 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Mausoleum. The Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, Fairfield is serving the family.
