Connie (Grisham) Hargrave

April 20, 1949 — November 8, 2016

Connie Hargrave completed her life’s journey on Tuesday, November 8, leaving her home in Fairfield to be ushered into the new home prepared by her Lord Jesus Christ. Connie was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 20, 1949 to Richard and Joetta Grisham. She married David Hargrave on August 16, 1969 in St. Ann, Missouri. Connie graduated from Greenville College and earned a Masters degree from Miami University. She dedicated her life to loving and leading children in her family, church and public schools. Her career of 27 years in public schools included 21 in Fairfield City Schools. She wholeheartedly served alongside her husband in ministry with congregations in Illinois and Oklahoma as well as with the Fairfield Church of Christ for the past 26 years.

Connie is survived by her husband, David, daughter, Jill [Karl] Halverson, son, Jon Hargrave, and grandchildren, Hannah Hargrave, Andrew, Joshua, Anna and Lydia Halverson. She is also survived by her father, Richard Grisham of St. Ann, Missouri and her sister, Carol Becker of Ballwin, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joetta [Bates] Grisham.

Visitation will be hosted at the Fairfield Church of Christ, 745 Symmes Road, on Friday, November 11, 5:00-8:00 P.M.  A service of Celebration and Comfort is planned at the church building on Saturday, November 12, at 10:30 A.M.  Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.  Memorial gifts may be designated to Ninos de Mexico or Good News Productions through the Fairfield Church of Christ. Avance Funeral Home is assisting in the arrangements.
