Cora M. Smith
August 15, 1922 — November 22, 2007
Age 85 of Hamilton passed away Thursday, November 22, 2007 at VITAS Hospice - Ft. Hamilton. She was born August 15, 1922 in Brookville, IN the daughter of William and Anna (Johnson) Lacey-Horstman. Cora was a member of the New Life Baptist Mission.
She is survived by her children, Bonnie Lacey, Lester Smith and Paul Wayne Smith; grandchildren, Bonita, Jeannie, Angel, Cary, Paul; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cora was preceded in death by her parents; 7 siblings; and grandson, Kevin Smith.
The family would like to thank the staff of Ft. Hamilton Hospital IMC_ICU 5 West and Vitas Hospice. Also, a special thanks to Dr. George Manitsas.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. - until time of service (6:30 p.m.), Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. Memorials may be made in Cora's memory to her family for funeral expenses. Condolences may be sent at www.avancefuneralhome.com
