Curtis Wayne Byrd

BYRD, Curtis Wayne, age 60, of Hamilton passed away peacefully at home in his wife’s arms on Wednesday November 11, 2015 after a battle with colon cancer. He was born in Batesville, IN on November 13, 1954 to Lawrence and Esther (Angel) Byrd. Curt is survived by his wife Linda (Wardlow-Dunaway) Byrd; siblings, Janice Hill, Linda (Danny) Brinegar, Scott (Robin) Byrd, and Joe Byrd; son Allen (Beverly) Byrd; and 8 grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother in law, Nellie (Bill) Roberts; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Curt is preceded in death by his parents; step-daughter, Yolonda Edmonson; brother, Lawrence Byrd Jr.; sisters, Vicky Clark and Dianne (Larry) McGuire. Visitation will be Monday November 16, 2015 from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Clemens officiating. Burial will follow at Darrtown Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.avancefuneralhome.com
