Dan Charles Schwarz
September 3, 1937 — December 7, 2014
Age 77 of Hamilton passed December 7, 2014 at University Hospital of Cincinnati. He was born September 3, 1937 in Hamilton, the son of Charles and Emma (Haller) Schwarz. On May 9, 1959 Dan married Carolyn Westrick at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Hamilton. He was the owner and operator of Schwarz Jewelers in Hamilton and he and his family enjoyed many years of serving his customers. In addition, Mr. Schwarz was active for many years in Kiwanis, Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, DARE, St. Veronica’s school, and St. Stephen’s Parish Council. He was a life-long member of the Hamilton Boat Club and enjoyed building boats and boating – especially with his grandkids.
Dan leaves to cherish his memory, children, Daniel (Diana), Cynthia Gressel, Stephen (Penny) and Michael (Jenny); and grandchildren, Sadie, Amanda, Carolyn, Jacob, Luke, Michael, Abigail, Samuel, Savanah, and Maria. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Carolyn.
The family will receive friends 2 p.m. – 4 p.m., Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at St. Stephen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
