Danny, age, 69, of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away Wednesday March 8, 2017 at Mercy Fairfield. He was born February 4, 1948 in Somerset, KY a son of the late Hershel Wilkerson and Marcille (Luttrell) Wilkerson, who survives him.

In addition to his Mother, Danny is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Lillian Jo (Walters) whom he married on October 30, 1984. Also surviving are daughter, Jacqueline Michelle, step-sons Barrett & Robert; brother, Dennis (Karrell) Wilkerson of Liberty, KY; and sister, Connie (Ronald) Lee of Indianapolis, IN; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 2 nephews from Liberty, KY; 2 nieces from Indianapolis, IN; and special friends Cordell and Christine Eley.

Upon graduating high school in 1967 in Liberty, KY., Danny was drafted into the US Army where he served with distinction in Vietnam with the 11th US Cavalry/ Black Horse Division. During his time “In Country” he was exposed to the defoliant chemical “Agent Orange”, which created persistent health problems. Despite that, Danny was a true soldier, patriot, husband, father, brother, and grandfather. Following his obligation with the US Army he served 15 years in the US Army Reserves as a Military Policeman. Before retiring in 2002, Danny spent 32 years as a supervisor at the Stearns Technical Textile Company. A man of God, Danny maintained his relationship with the Thomas Ridge Christian Church of Dunnville, KY. Always acting and giving back to his country and community, he was a member in the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and the 11th US Cavalry Blackhorse/Vietnam & Cambodia Association.

Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 5-7 PM Tuesday March 14, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, Ohio 45014.
