Darrell Edgar Stone,85, of Fairfield, Ohio passed away Monday August 25th 2025, after serious injuries due to a motorcycle accident. Born August 2nd, 1940 in the Epsaba community in Greene County Arkansas. By age 9, Darrell's family moved to Paragould Arkansas where he finished high school. After experiencing a call to the ministry in 1965, Darrell became an ordained southern Baptist minister and served churches in Brighton, Antoine, Kingsland and Lake Hamilton Arkansas, while attending Ouachita Baptist University. In 1972, Darrell and his family moved to Harrisonville, Kentucky where he pastored Mount Vernon Baptist Church and attended Southern Seminary. After Seminary Darrell moved to Hamilton Ohio to serve as pastor of Allision Ave Baptist Church and established the Chaplain program at Fort Hamilton Hospital. A minister all his life, Darrell also worked as real estate agent, insurance agent, financial planner, and truck driver which he considered extensions of his ministry. He owned and rented houses to low-income workers and the Hispanic community in Hamilton and Fairfield Ohio, which he considered a way of following Christ commands. We have heard from literally thousands of people, who credit Darrell Stone with inspiration and physical helped from a missionary from Inda, to a doctor, to an actuary, to a minister in Ohio of 50 years, to renters who would have been homeless without his help, to a Hispanic church in Fairfield and their missionary to Fayetteville, Arkansas.
