Huddleson, David M. “Red the Mailman” Age 82, passed away unexpectedly on January 22, 2019, at his home. He was born on September 22, 1936 to the late Vernon and Eleanor (Verdin) Huddleson. On August 10, 1968 he married the love of his life, Judith Cox in Hamilton, Ohio. He was a loving husband, father & grandfather who will be greatly missed. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 40 years and was known to many as “Red the Mailman.” He enjoyed time with friends at the Greater Cincinnati Garden Railway Society, the Monkeys Mutual Aid Society and the VFW. He was also commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his sister Marilyn Huddleson and niece, Deborah (Huddleson) Brinker. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Judith; his sons David and Michael; daughter-in-law Elaina (Crotty) Huddleson; granddaughters Richelle (Alex) Coon and Samantha (Chris) Ginandt; 8 great-grandchildren; his nephew John (Lynn) Huddleson and niece Kathy (Bob) Meyer whom he loved as if they were his own children; as well as many other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield, OH 45014. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 28 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 400 Nilles Rd., Fairfield, OH with burial at St. Mary Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
