David C Pendleton

October 20, 1946 — April 14, 2011

David Cecil Pendleton of Hamilton lost his battle with cancer on April 14, 2011. He was born in Mt. Sterling, Ky. on Oct. 20, 1946 to Charles and Margaret (Chester) Pendleton. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Princeton as an aviation metal smith and a petty officer 3rd. class. Cecil was employed as a truck drive for many years.

He was a member of Moose 330 lodge, the Orioles, and a life member of V.F.W. post 7670, where he was also a past Sr. Vice Commander. The Masonic Lodge in Camden, FOP Desert Club, and Valley of Dayton Scottish Rites are organizations he was proud to be a member of.

Cecil is survived by his life companion of 30 yrs. Cheryl Turner and her son Jerry Turner. He had two sisters, June (Leroy) Couch of Florida, and Ruth Ann (Charles) Gibson of Hamilton. Three nephews: Brad (Annette) Couch, Randy (Karolyn) Couch, and Kieth (Rhonda) Gibson. Also two great nieces, four great nephews, and many other close relatives and friends.

Preceding Cecil in death were his parents, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles that he loved very much. Cremation will be held. A memorial service will be held later at the family's convenience. I'd like to thank Hospice of Cincinnati in Hamilton for their help and especially his home care nurse, Kathy Fleig.

Avance Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
