It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deborah “Debi” Lynn Escobar: Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Sister-in-law, Aunt, Cousin, Friend, and Neighbor. On the evening of October 10, 2024 as the skies were graced with the rare and ethereal glow of the aurora borealis, Debi’s rare and beautiful soul ascended into heaven. Debi was the embodiment of kindness and selflessness her genuine concern (“Are you okay?”) was evident in everything she did. Prioritizing everyone else around her Debi knew life was richer with family and friends. Her home was comfortable and always a haven for back patio gatherings filled with good food, laughter, friends and neighbors. Debi dedicated her life to her family and friends. She was a devoted wife to Cornel for 31 years, a mother to Skye, and “Mamaw” to Preston. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, feeding & watching the birds and squirrels, and all her fur babies. But the thing she enjoyed most was being a “Mamaw” to Preston her grandson. He brought her more joy than anything else that life had to offer. Debi touched the lives of many. She was the first to lend a helping hand, listen without judgement, and offer words of wisdom and encouragement. She will be forever missed. In lieu of flowers Debi’s wish was for you to be nice to one another and pay it forward with an act of kindness. A celebration of life will be announced in the future.
