SMITH
Delores age 86 passed away peacefully on February 1, 2013. She was born in Harveyton, KY on July 26, 1926 to Bennett and Lillie (nee Turner) Young. Mom often spoke of her wonderful childhood growing up in the hills of Breathitt County, KY surrounded by the love of her parents, brothers, and sister. Delores was employed by National Distillery of Cincinnati until her retirement in 1983. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James R. Smith, Forster Gabbard, and Gordon A. Fouts;
brothers, Harold Young, Bennet Young Jr., Chester A. Young, Cecil Young, and Denny Young; grandson Michael Smith.
A devoted and compassionate mother, she will be forever loved and remembered by her family and her many friends who were touched by her acts of kindness.
Delores is survived by her daughter, Joyce A. Thomas; sons, Ronald L. Smith, Thomas S. Smith, and Steven R. Smith; sister Lucille Trent; brother Henry Young; grandchildren, Rhonda, Sandy, Jason, Dee Dee, Sheila, and Kalan; 13 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; and special angel Robin Saraceno.
The family would like to thank the office of Dr. Colangeo and her various caregivers who befriended and assisted Mom during her times of illness. No words can express our appreciation. Visitation will be Friday February 8, 2013 from 12-2 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory; Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
