Dennis Michael Phillips, 74, of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away on November 25, 2025. He was born on November 15, 1951, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Eldon and Mary Phillips. Dennis graduated from Garfield High School and then earned his associate degree from Miami University. A lifelong learner, he went on to complete his bachelor’s degree as an adult at Wilmington College in the 1990’s. His career spanned several companies, including Champion Paper, Quantum Chemical, and finally General Electric, from which he retired in 2016.
In 1979, Dennis married Sharon Lynn Phillips, and together they built a loving home and raised their children, Michael, Jason, and Megan. After Sharon’s passing in 2010, Dennis eventually found companionship again and married Sandy Phillips in 2018. Throughout his life, Dennis was a devoted husband, father, and stepfather, who treasured his family above all else. His presence brought joy, laughter, and stability, and he cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren. His family is grateful that both marriages brought him joy, love, and partnership throughout the different chapters of his life.
Dennis will be remembered for his humor, selflessness, and love of life. He enjoyed fishing, cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes, and making people laugh. A steady and grounding presence, he approached life with a gentle spirit that made others feel at ease, and he leaves behind countless fond memories with all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Phillips; children, Michael (Lauren) Phillips, Jason (Jenny) Phillips, and Megan (TJ) Souder; stepchildren, Neka (Jeremy) Phillips, Samantha (Mike) Brown, and Matthew (Dawn) Hutson; brothers, Dean (Donna) Phillips, Gerald (Barbara) Phillips, Ronald Phillips, and Eldon (Christine) Phillips; grandchildren, James, Caroline, Miles, Rory, Bella, Ruby, Macy, Sienna, Jake, Caleb, Carter, Cate, and Millie; lifelong best friends, Jim and Shirley Howell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Dennis was preceded in death by his first wife, Sharon Lynn Phillips; his parents, Eldon and Mary Phillips; sisters, Mary Anglin, Gloria Rednour, and Sandra Roberts; and brother, Darryl Phillips.
