Denver DeFevers, age 71, of West Chester, died Thursday, September 16, 2004, at Hospice of Cincinnati. He was born June 6, 1933 in Richmond, IN, the son of Robert and Nellie (Mullins) DeFevers. On December 14, 1956 he married Carrie Lawhorn in Lockland. Denver was a member of the Redeemer United Church of Christ, was a Veteran of the US Army and worked at Ivorydale for Procter & Gamble. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his proudest accomplishments - his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Carrie (Lawhorn) DeFevers; sons, Neil (Terri) DeFevers and Colin (Denise) DeFevers; sisters Tabiatha Dyer and Inez Stapleton; grandchildren Nicole, Austin, Jason and Nick; and extended grandson Brady Conner. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers Robert Frank and Deward.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Sunday September 19, 2004 at the Redeemer United Church of Christ, 3431 Hamilton-Middletown Rd., Fairfield Township with Dr. Kim Katterheinrich officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m., Monday at West Chester Cemetery, 9121 Cinti-Dayton Rd., West Chester. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Saturday at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield.
