Denver, age 83, of West Chester passed away on September 28, 2016 at Chesterwood Village. He was born on July 7, 1933 to Louis and Nora Jones in Girdler, Kentucky. Denver proudly served two tours in the United States Army following the Korean Conflict and was employed by Fisher Body in Fairfield as a Press Operator until his retirement in 1990.
He was the beloved husband of Eliza “Ruth” Mills- Jones for 54 years, she preceded him in death on February 12, 2012. Together they shared a great life exploring this beautiful country that they both loved so much. Denver was a true outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and taking the road less travelled to see America.
Denver is survived by his beloved children, Shelia (Pat Sr.) Hickey and Sharon (Bill) Charles; cherished grandchildren, Patrick and Meghan Hickey; brother in law, Obie Mills; sister in law, Rita (Tony) Cornett; great niece, Michelle (Jamey) Corriveau; great nephew, Rod Mills; and numerous other family members.
Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
