Donald G Perry

PERRY, Donald Gary Age 80 went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, OH. He was born in Owen County, KY, on May 26, 1934 to June W. and Anna C. (Miles) Perry. Don was a graduate of Owen County High School, Owenton, KY. He married Martha Jane Duvall on December 23, 1955 at Dallasburg Baptist Church, Wheatley, KY, and left the community moving to Hamilton, OH in 1958. Don worked as general manager for Wirtz Trucking and retired in June 1996 after 35 years. Don was a faithful and active member of the First Baptist Church of Hamilton, OH, serving on several boards, as Deacon, and volunteering when needed. He enjoyed family, friends, and traveling until health issues limited these activities. Don was preceded in death by his parents; and loving wife of 54 years, Martha J. Perry. He is survived by sister-in-law, Vivian C. (Harold) Malcomb; sister-in-law, Marjorie Duvall; nieces and nephews, Regina (Jerry) Cook, Crystal (Steve) Raisor, Richard (Marla) Duvall, Steven (Carrie Jo) Malcomb; three great-nephews; and two great-nieces; many relatives, and much loved friends. Visitation will be Friday December 26, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral Services will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. William C. Brantingham and Dr. Daniel Clemens officiating. Graveside services will be 12 p.m. Saturday at the Wheatley Masonic Cemetery, Wheatley, KY with Pastor Tim Sperduto officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to: the First Baptist Church of Hamilton, OH; Dallasburg Baptist Church, Wheatley, KY; or a charity of your choice
