Dorothy (Calendine) Sparks, age 89, of Hamilton, died Thursday, November 11, 2004, at Mercy Franciscan Schroder in Hamilton.
She was born December 31, 1914 in Malta, OH, the daughter of James and Rosie (Gheen) Calendine. On September 26, 1936 she married William Sparks in Lawrenceburg, IN. She was a member of the Rolling Hills Baptist Church and the Ft. Hamilton Chapter No. 568 Order Eastern Star.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (Joe) Smith of Fairfield; sister, Evelyn Quimby of South Zanesville; 2 grandchildren, Jeffrey and Michael Smith; and great-grandchildren, Stuart and Shandon Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents;and husband William on February 14, 1989.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday November 15, 2004 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Dr. Don W. Gillis officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens. Visitation will also be on Monday from 10 a.m. - until time of service at the funeral home.
