Douglas A. Baer, 59, originally of Columbus, Ohio passed away at his residence in Fairfield, Ohio on September 7, 2010. He was born October 11, 1950 in Columbus Ohio. He was a graduate of Whetstone High School and Columbus Technical Institute. He had a long and successful career as a computer analyst working for companies such as CompuServe, Cincom, and Computer Associates. Along with his work in the United States, he traveled abroad extensively which included living in London, England for two years. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Evelyn Baer and brother Dick Lowe. He is survived by his sister Nancy Wilson and husband Doug of Scottsdale, AZ, and sister in law Delores Lowe of Houston, TX, nephews Tod Zimmerman, Tom (Christy) Zimmerman, Rick (Terri) Lowe and Rob (Terry) Lowe, his grand niece and nephews Madison, Parker, Trey, Hunter, Nic and Owen. A memorial service will be held at 4 PM Friday, September 17, 2010 at Crestview Presbyterian Church, 350 East Tulane Road, Columbus, OH 43202, 614-267-8349.
