DOUGLAS GARRISON Douglas McArthur Garrison,79,passed away Sunday November 24,2024. He was born June 13, 1945 in Manchester,KY, the son of Henry Monroe Garrison SR. and Mae(Hacker) Bowling Garrison. Douglas served in the Airforce and was a Vietnam War Veteran 1968-1969. He married Rosemary (Toth) Garrison on September 29, 1969. He is survived by his daughter Lissa(Shane) and his two grandchildren Lynsey and Brayden, his sister Mary, and his two brothers Henry Monroe Jr. (Kathy) and Randall (Joyce). His wife Rosemary (Toth) preceded him in death in 2007. His brothers and sisters that preceded him in death on his moms side were Lorene(Willie), Corene(John), Lois(Enoch), Martha(Carl), Jeanette(Gilbert), Robert(bob) on his moms side. He also had 14 brothers and sister that preceded him in death on his fathers side. Douglas worked at International Paper Company for 31 years. He retired in 2001 as Production Assistant for the company. He loved golfing with his friends, fishing and loved more than anything spending time with his family. He will always be remembered for his kind heart, always putting others before him. But his laughter and storytelling was infectious and left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. There won’t be a public service for Douglas at this time, as he wished to be cremated. A celebration of life will take place at a later date with family and friends.
