E. Eileen Campbell
November 22, 1931 — November 30, 2007
On the 30th of November, 2007, E. Eileen Campbell went home to be with the Lord. Eileen was born November 22, 1931 to Robert and Grace Mayes. She attended Hanover High School and graduated in 1949 having 11 years of perfect attendance. As a young woman she worked at the Lane Public Library.
Later she was a secretary to the principal of the old Hamilton High School and went on to be secretary to the principal at George Washington Jr. High School.
Eileen married Eugene T. Campbell on September 11, 1954 at the First Baptist Church of Hamilton. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church and was previously a member of the St. Clair Avenue Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school, ladies Bible study classes, and was also active with the missionary circle. She was a very devoted member of the First Baptist Church bell choir, the Celebration Ringers.
She leaves her husband of 53 years, Eugene T. Campbell; her daughter Sharon Tuley and fiance, Raymond Bogenschutz of Powder Springs, GA; son Andrew Campbell and wife Barbara of Trinity, TX; and four sisters, Margie Mayes, Carol Howard, Nellie Wardlow Roberts and husband Bill, all of Hamilton, and Bonnie Standifer and husband Bo of Winter Haven, FL.
She is also survived by 4grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m.., Tuesday December 4th at The First Baptist Church, 1501 Pyramid Hill, Hamilton, OH 45013. Dr. Dennis Metzger and Rev. William Brantingham will officiate. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield.
