SNELLING

Edgar G. “Butch”  – age 67 of Cincinnati, passed away on Sunday, August 17 , 2014.  He was born May 22, 1947 in Constance, Kentucky to the late Edgar and Edna Snelling.  Edgar was a Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War.  On July 13, 1968 in Cincinnati he married his wife Blanche “Buzzy” Snelling (nee Kealoha).  Butch was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish, the Wesley Werner  American Legion Post # 513, the Disabled American Veterans, the Eagles, the Moose Lodge, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife Buzzy; his children Keola (Johnny) Luckadoo, Ed (Khristi) Snelling III and Kealohalani (Javier) Prado; his brothers Robert (Bert) Snelling, Louis (Veselka) Snelling, Tom Snelling and sisters Diana (Richard) Fehr, Sally (Jerry) Snider and Ethel (Chuck) Saylor; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; also survived by numerous family, friends, nieces and nephews.  Butch was preceded in death by his parents and his brother George Snelling.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 22, 2014 at 12Noon at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, 5361 Dry Ridge Rd, Cinti 45252 with visitation at the church beginning at 10 AM.  Father Tim Kallaher officiating.  Burial to follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park.  Memorials may be sent to VITAS Hospice, DAV Chpt # 115 or the Fall Family Fun Festival for disabled children, C/O Buzzy Snelling.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.avancefuneralhome.com
