Edmond Joseph Meyer Jr.

Edmond (Ed) Joseph Meyer, Jr., 96, died Thursday December 26, 2024.  He was born to Edmond and Emma (Dohrman) Meyer, March 11, 1928. Edmond married Julia Ann (Kuhn) on March 29, 1957 in Lucasville, Ohio. Together they raised three sons.  Ed was a veteran of World War II serving in both the Merchant Marines and the US Army Air Corps. Being an outgoing people person, he spent most of career in sales. He enjoyed raising and racing thoroughbred horses. He loved to sing hymns with his family and talking about Jesus. Known as Pappaw and Nanny to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Ed and Judy delighted in spending time with them.  Ed was preceded in death by his parents, his son, John, and all his siblings.  He leaves behind his beloved wife, Judy, his sons and daughter-in-laws, Edmond Joseph, III & Debra, Theresa (John’s wife) and James & Marla. He is survived by ten grandchildren: Lara (& Frank), Heather, Emily (& Derek), Zachary, EJ IV (& Angie), Melissa (& Robert), Judah (& Ty), Selah (& Dan), Siobhan, and Spencer. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren: Lillian, Madison, Jolene, Paisley, Xavier, Theodore, Bennett, Hazel, Emmalyn, Bobby, Julia, Sarah, Megan, Meryl, and Richter.  The family will receive friends 11 a.m. - until time of memorial service at 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2025 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014 with Pastor Randy Rice officiating.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.avancefuneralhome.com.
