Age 75 of Oxford died Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Vitas Hospice - Ft. Hamilton Hospital. Edsel was born to Vincent and Vicy (Humpfleet) Martin on April 1, 1932, in Laurel Co.,KY. On March 11, 1950 he married his wife of 57 years Elsa Hinkle, in London, KY. Edsel worked for the Mosler Safe Company in Hamilton for 27 years.
Edsel is survived by his wife, Elsa (Hinkle) Martin; sons, Jack (Kathy) Martin and Joseph (Debbie) Martin; daughters, Judy (Gary) Johnson, Betty (Chuck) Barrett, and JoLynne (Ted) Donohue; sisters, Eva Boyer, Norma Scott and June Webb; grandchildren, Rachel (Jeremy) Steck, Shannon (Nick) Morano, Brian Martin, Kyle Martin, Audri Barrett, Rheagan Barrett, Chase Barrett, Ted Donohue, Trevor Donohue, Troy Donohue, and Sean Donohue; great-grandchildren, Mason Steck, Maxwell Morano and Ava Donohue. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Local visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, August 23, 2007, at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. There will be another visitation 1 p.m. - until time of service (2 p.m.), Friday, August 24 at the Bowling Funeral Home in London, KY. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
