Edward E. Russell

RUSSELL Edward E., age 92, of Fairfield passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018 after an extended illness. He was born on September 14, 1925 in Clinton County, Ohio to the late James Henry and Leona (nee Conger) Russell. On January 16, 1943 in Wilmington, Ohio Edward married his beloved wife Anna Vance; she preceded him in death on November 11, 2011.

The children of this union are; Rev. Charles E. (Kathie) Russell of Cincinnati, the late Thomas J. Russell of Theodore, AL, Timothy J. (Kathie) Russell of Hamilton, and Constance L. (Darryl) Ross of Milford. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 20 great grand children; and his daughter in law, Cindy Russell.

Edward served his country in the Coast Guard from 1943-1946. He worked at Mosler Safe Company as a design drafter and then went on to work as a drafter for the Monsanto Chemical Company until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of Immanuel at Lakewood Baptist Church in Cincinnati. Ed also was a member of various Baptist churches where he was a Deacon, Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, Soloist, and Choir Member. He was the Scout Master for 10 years of Boy Scout Troop #965.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. - until time of service (7 p.m.),  Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014 with his son, Rev. Charles E. Russell officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, at New Antioch Cemetery outside of Wilmington, OH for those who wish to attend.   Condolences may be offered at www.avancefuneralhome.com
