Edward L. Spiegel
January 18, 1940 — January 10, 2006
Edward Lee Spiegel, age 65 of Fairfield passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2005 at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash after a 4 month battle with lung and brain cancer. He was born on January 18, 1940 in Lexington, KY, to the late Virgil and Minnie (Ewell) Spiegel, but he considered his "real birthday" to be April 21, 1996, when he gave his heart to Jesus Christ. Ed was a member of North Fairfield Baptist Church.
Ed will be lovingly missed by his wife, Nita, whom he married in 1997; sons, Jeffrey Lee Spiegel of Destin, FL and Michael David (Brenda) Spiegel, Sr. of Hamilton, OH; step-sons, Douglas (Thais) Miller of Nashville, TN and Steven (Lisa) Miller of Hamilton, OH. He is survived by a sister, Patricia (Arno) Wilson of West Harrison, IN; and a brother, Tony (Joan) Spiegel of Mt. Vernon, OH. Ed is also survived by several grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Martha Paolello; and grandson, Michael David Spiegel, Jr.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. - until time of service (12 Noon), Friday January 13, 2006 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Pastor Mark Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the North Fairfield Baptist Church Building Fund, 6852 Gilmore Rd., Hamilton, OH 45011.
