Edwin Rae Reeves

REEVES

Edwin R. age 84 of Hamilton passed away on April 23, 2013 at Hospice of Hamilton. Edwin was born on July 23, 1928 the son of the late Edwin and Wilma (nee Newhouse) Reeves. Edwin is survived by his loving wife Marilyn (nee Nelson) Reeves whom he met in Sunday school on his 16th birthday. They went on to become high school sweethearts in Portage, MI and have been married for 60 plus loving years. Edwin is also survived by two sons, John Reeves of Henderson, NC and Mark Reeves of Cummings, GA; two daughters, Carol Gilmore of Pensacola, FL and Cheryl Marchal of Ridgewood, NJ; a brother, Donald Reeves of Kalamazoo, MI and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In 1997, Edwin received the Hamilton Community Service award for his dedication and service to the Hamilton Community. He was a volunteer for many years at Dam Fest, a volunteer fireman with the Deferiet, NY and Felts Mills, NY Departments, and many other volunteer services. The family would like to thank everyone that took such great care of Ed at both Schroder Manor and Hospice of Hamilton for the past few months. Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
