Edwin David Thomas
October 4, 1942 — January 13, 2008
Age 65 of Fairfield passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Mercy Hospital, Fairfield. He was born October 4, 1942 in Derby, England, the son of Harold and Hilda (Birch) Thomas. Eddie retired from GE as an engineer in the Aero Engine Division.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Caroline Thomas; daughters, Sarah (John) Kelley, Clare (Kevin) Mutters, and Helen (Brice) Searcy; sister, Angela (Roger) Joy; and grandchildren, Devin, Tristan, and Aidan Searcy, and Austin Mutters.
Relatives and friends will be able to greet the family from 4 to 4:30 pm, Friday, January 18, 2008, at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd. Fairfield. Memorial Service will follow at 4:30 pm, also at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent in Eddie's honor to the March of Dimes Foundation. Condolences may be sent at www.avancefuneralhome.com.
