Elaine C. Lindsay

January 24, 1927 — April 15, 2012

In Loving memory of Elaine C. Lindsay, age 85, of Hamilton, died on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Cincinnati to the late Harry and Marie (Everich) Schreiber.

She is the devoted wife of 65 years to Herbert; loving mother of Sherry Sawyers, Debbie (Charlie) Brewer, Elaine (Bobby) Jones, and Kelly (Larry) Doty; grandchildren, Carolyn Plummer, Cyndi (BJ) Ford, Annette (Mike) Brewer, Charlie (Rebecca) Brewer, Scott (Jodi) Jones, Kyle (Susan) Jones, Matt Fox and Ashley Fox; 12 Great Grandchildren.

Elaine graduated from Withrow High School in Cincinnati; she married Herbert Lindsay June 23, 1945. After many years of employment she retired from Fort Hamilton Hospital. Elaine was very accomplished at sewing and cake decorating. She was the president of Buchanan and Grant PTA; President of the Ladies Hamilton Shrine; Sunday school teacher, and a Kentucky Colonel. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Butler County Care Facility and Hospice of Southwest Ohio for their excellent care.

Visitation will be held at Avance Funeral Home at 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield on April 20, 2012, from 11:00am-12:00pm with services beginning at 12:00pm, with Pastor Joshua Lenon officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions in her name be sent to; Animal Friends Humane Society, 1820 Princeton Road, Hamilton, OH 45011. Condolences may be given at www.avancefuneralhome.com
