Eliza "Ruth" age 73, passed away on February 16, 2012 at West Chester Hospital. She was the devoted wife of Denver Jones; most loving mother of Shelia (Pat) Hickey of West Chester, and Sharon (Bill Charles) Whitesell of Scranton PA. Ruth was the dear grandmother of Patrick and Meghan Hickey. She is also survived by her best friend and sister Rita (Tony) Cornett and her brother Obie Mills, both of Fairfield, OH. She was also the loving aunt to Rod Mills of Fairfield OH, and Michelle Corriveau of Los Angeles, CA.
Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was an avid vegetable and flower gardener, an artist who worked in watercolors and oils, quilter, and loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and traveling the country with her husband of 54 years, Denver Jones.
A celebration of Ruth's life will be held in the chapel at Chesterwood Village 8073 Tylersville Rd. West Chester OH at 2 p.m on Sunday, February 19th 2012. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to The American Heart Association.
Ruth's family wishes to express our gratitude to all the devoted staff and friends at Chesterwood Village and to her outstanding medical team at The Ohio Heart and Vascular Center.
