Elizabeth "Betty" Jane (Keller) Shefcik

Elizabeth “Betty” J. (nee Keller) – age 87 of Fairfield, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016.  She was born October 14, 1928 in Chicago, IL to the late John and Elizabeth Keller.  On October 21, 1950 Betty married her husband Robert J. Shefcik who preceded her in death in 2009.  She was a kind person with a warm smile who taught us all about love and perseverance. Betty was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.  She is survived by her children Beth (Tom) Filipek, Barb (Ross) Bridge, Bill (Tish) Shefcik and daughter-in-law Kay Shefcik; grandchildren Christine (Jeremy), Katie (Justin), Michael, Dan, Brendan, Bobby and Matthew and great-grandchildren Sam and Ben; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Bob Shefcik,  granddaughter Megan Filipek and her sisters Minnie, Mildred, Evelyn and Dorothy. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses, aides and staff at Doverwood Village for all of their love and care.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 12191 Mill Rd., Cinti., Oh 45240 with burial immediately following at St. Stephen’s Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8PM at The Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH, 45014 and from 930AM until time of Mass on Saturday at the church.  Memorials may be sent to the Megan Filipek Scholarship Fund at Badin High School.  Online condolences may be left for the family by visiting www.avancefuneralhome.com
