Ella Mae Scherzinger

SCHERZINGER

Ella Mae (nee Edwards) age 82 of Fairfield, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday January 14, 2012. She was born in London, KY on October 1, 1929, the daughter of James Lee and Lucy (nee Cassidy) Edwards. She was a graduate of Hamilton High School. She married Jack James Scherzinger June 16, 1948 in Hamilton. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. An accomplished seamstress Ella started a career in retail working in fabric stores. She later went to work at Patty's Bridal on Main St. She loved playing cards with her family and friends and traveling. Ella was a loving up beat person, she was the thread that bound us together and she will be sorely missed. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jack James Scherzinger; son, Gregory Kent Scherzinger; daughters, Cynthia and Lisa Gaye Scherzinger; two grandchildren, Charlene Marie (Robert) Hundley and Vincent Michael Scherzinger; two great grandchildren; and her sister Doris Jean (James) Coakley. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death her parents; two sons, Stephen Scott Scherzinger and Keith Michael Scherzinger; her brothers, Ralph Wayne Edwards and James Lee Edwards Jr.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Peggy Garrison officiating. Graveside service will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.

The family would like to thank the staff of Vitas Hospice and Senior Independence of Fairfield, for the loving care that they provided to Ella.
