Enoch "Dude" E. Lee, 86, passed away on May 29, 2011 at Mercy Fairfield Hospital. The funeral will be held at Avance Funeral Home, Fairfield on June 2, 2011. Public viewing will be from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM, followed by funeral services and then burial at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Dude was born Sept. 4, 1924, to Palmer and Maggie (Walters) Lee in Highsplint, KY. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps, rank of Corporal, during WW II and then graduated from Eastern Kentucky University as well as attending the University of Kentucky to obtain an advanced degree in Mathematics. He was a High School teacher and basketball coach in Laurel County, KY prior to joining GM Fisher Body, Hamilton, OH in 1951 until his well-deserved retirement in 1987 as Superintendent - Planning, Lordstown , OH. He received the honor of Kentucky Colonel in 2001.

He forever married Lois J. Bowling on Sept. 4, 1954 in Hamilton. Together they moved to Austintown, OH in 1969 until retirement to Fairfield, OH in 1987.

He is survived by his wife, son Don, his wife Cindy and their children, Andrew, Alyson and Angela; daughter Sherrie Goodall and her children Kristi (Rob) Huffman and Trevor Goodall; son Phil and his child Zachary as well as four great-grandchildren; Kayla, Chelsea, Drew and Lori Huffman; brother Bobbie (Loretta) Lee; sisters Pauline Acres, Wilma Thomas and Edna Mae (JD) Maples and many other in-laws, family and friends.

A very genuine and giving man, Dude was a loving husband and cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather and respected brother and loyal friend. His love of UK basketball was second to none as well as his hard working attitude towards business, fun and life. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten by all who knew him.

Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. - until time of service (1 p.m.), Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
