JOHNSON
Eric Donald, age 59 of Fairfield passed away on July 26, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. He is the beloved husband of Deborah (nee Schruefer); loving father of Christi Johnson of Minneapolis, MN, Michael (Kate) Johnson of Chicago, IL, and Mark Johnson of London, England. He is also survived by his brothers; Charles (Carole) Johnson of Norfolk, VA and Thomas (Felicity) Johnson of Kona, HI; father and mother in law, Joseph and Mary Schruefer of Forest Hill, MD; brother in law, Michael (Dellanne) Schruefer of Forest Hill, MD.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald W. and Rosalie J. Johnson.
Eric was an accomplished thespian with local theater organizations; Fairfield Footliters, Fairfield Summer Theater, and Hamilton Community Theaters; 1975 graduate of Florida State where he played the trumpet with the Marching Chiefs; an avid Florida State Seminole Fan; and he was a Cub Scout leader for his sons' Cub Scout troop Pack 960.
Visitation will be Monday July 30, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m.
Burial will be at a later date at the Bosley United Methodist Cemetery in Maryland.
Memorial contributions in Eric's name may be given to Fairfield Summer Theater, 8800 Holden Blvd., Fairfield, OH 45014
