Ernest "Corky" Murray
July 13, 1935 — November 14, 2007
Age 72 of Fairfield passed away, Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born July 13, 1935 in Hamilton, the son of Hugh Boyd and Mary Hazel (Barnes) Murray. Corky was loved by all that knew him and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his sisters, Judy Suding and Barbara French; brothers, Earl "Max" Murray and Donald Combs; newphews, Jeff Johnson and Brent Smith; and nieces, Debbie Rambo, Rhoda Rossell-Johnson, Krista Smith, and Kimberly Smith. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janet Johnson; brother-in-law, Matt Johnson.
The family wants to give a special thank you to the staff and residents at Tri-County Extended Care for their love and compassion for Corky.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. - until time of service (12 noon), Friday, November 23, 2007 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Pastor Arnold Mathis officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
