Esther Ratliff

Esther (nee Brasch) Ratliff, age 93, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family at Woodlands of Hamilton on December 13, 2025. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 18, 1932, to the late William Brasch and Ida (Ruecking) Brasch.

Esther was employed at Elder Beerman Stores for many years, retiring in 2009. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Esther was a very devoted and loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma and great-great-grandma. She loved her family and had a special gift of making each and everyone feel special and loved.

Esther married Charles Ratliff on September 13, 1952, who preceded her in death in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother Carl Brasch and sisters Elizabeth Biegert, Dorothy Buer, Florence Staneky and Catherine Brasch.

Esther is survived by her children, Pam (Rick) Ratliff, Chuck (Leslie) Ratliff, Patty (Bruce) Jones and Penny (Mark) Gilliam/Pierce. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tracy, Kim, Michelle, Josh, Brooke, Devyn and Lauren, as well as 13 great-grandchildren and also 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th from 10:00am until the time of service (11:30am) at Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd. Fairfield, OH 45014 with Pastor Mike Botts officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, OH.
