PRATHER
Ethel, age 96 of Fairfield, OH passed away on Saturday morning June 30, 2012.
She was born in Scott Co., TN July 10, 1915 to Link and Cassie Garrett. She married Edward Prather in Nicholasville, KY in 1933. They were married for 63 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward; her parents; her sister Edith Prather; and her infant daughter Sharon Kay Prather.
She was a devoted Christian and a loving mother. She is a charter member of the Rolling Hills Baptist Church, Fairfield, OH and a past member of Fairview Baptist Church, Richmond, IN.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Doris Albano of Richmond IN, Shirley Charles of Centerville, IN, Jerry Prather of Hamilton, OH, Judith Applegate of Bonita Springs, FL, Jill Bryant, Steven Prather, and Jana Donner all of Fairfield. She also leaves 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
Friends and family may call at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014 on Friday July 6, 2012 from 5-7 p.m.
Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. with Pastor Danny Rollins officiating.
