Eugene T. Campbell

Age 79 of Hamilton, passed away to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, GA. He was born February 11, 1929 in Cleves, OH, the son of Clarence and Ruth (Wells) Campbell. On September 11, 1954 Gene married Edna Eileen Mayes in Hamilton, OH. He worked for Cincinnati Bell for 25 years and then Champion International Papers until his retirement, and was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton.
He leaves his daughter, Sharon (Raymond) Bogenschutz of Powder Springs, GA; son, Andrew (Barbara) Campbell of Trinity, TX; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Clarence "Sonny" Campbell; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Gene was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife E. Eileen on November 30, 2007.
Visitation will be 10a.m. until time of service (12noon) Monday, November 24, 2008, at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd, Fairfield. Dr. Dennis Metzger and Rev. William Brantingham will officiate. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Hamilton, 1501 Pyramid Hill, Hamilton, OH 45013.
