BERGER, Evelyn C.
Age 84 of West Chester, formerly of Fairfield, passed away Monday, December 17, 2007 at Bethesda North Hospital. She was born July 27, 1923 in Cincinnati, the daughter of Edwin and Carolyn (Kuba) Filgis. Evelyn was the loving wife of 50 years to the late Lawrence Berger. Evelyn was a devoted homemaker and loving mother to her 6 daughters.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Pat (Bill) Fahrenholz, Rev. Cindy (Rev. Bob) Gamez, Karen (Joe) Enderle, Terri (Jim) Ehling, Kathy Coning, and Jennifer Farmer; grandchildren, Amie Hargis, Jessica Middendorf, Stephanie Carpenter, Vincent Allen, Kristina Arnold, Kyle Coning, Matthew and Benjamin Goedde, Brad Smith, Nathan and Jacob Farmer; 9 great-grandchildren; and her loving K-9 companion, Rocko. She is preceded in death by her Husband, parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. - until time of service (7 p.m.), Friday, December 21, 2007 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Pastor Wendell Coning and Rev. Cindy Gamez officiating. A procession will leave the funeral home at 11 a.m., Saturday for burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Rita's School for the deaf.
