Age 85 of Hamilton passed away December 21, 2006 at her home. She was born July 31, 1921 in Hamilton, the daughter of George and Carrie (Will) Wendling. After Flo's parents died, she was raised by Dottie Toman and lived on a farm. She graduated from Hanover High School in 1941 and then worked at Sears where she met a young man named Joseph Glock. They later married at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church in Hamilton on June 23, 1951. Mrs. Glock was a member of: St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church; American Legion Ladies Auxiliary #138; K of C Ladies Auxiliary #968; VFW Ladies Auxiliary #1069; and Eagles Ladies Auxiliary #407.
Flo will always be remembered for her work ethic and willingness to help others. She worked many years as a cook at Wolpert's Cafe and as a poll worker for over 25 years. Her gentle nature will be missed by all her knew her, especially her family.
She is survived by her loving children, Linda (William) Bender of Cincinnati, Beverly Glock of Hamilton, and Michael (Cindy) Glock of Liberty Township; grandchildren, Andy (Rosetta) Glock, Emily (Jason) Murray, Tara (Brandon) Musgrave, James Glock, Jacob Glock and Sarah Richter; great-grandchild, Landon Musgrave; twin brother, Lawrence Wendling; brother, Robert Wendling; and sister, Mae Warden. Flo was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 47 years, Joseph who passed away in 1998; brothers, George, Edward and John Wendling; and Dottie Toman.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to: the staff of Fort Hamilton Hospital, especially 5 Main and Lisa; Dr. Andrew Hear; Hospice of Cincinnati; and Karla. Also, thanks to the Eucharistic Ministry from St. Peter in Chains Church for bringing communion to her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Ave., Hamilton, OH 45013 with Father Tim Bunch, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield.
