Florene Songer

Florene Songer, age 94 of Fairfield, passed away at Bethesda North Hospital on April 25, 2026.

She was born in Norwood on August 14, 1931, to Bernard & Beulah (Perkins) Wilberding.

She served in the Cafeteria in the Fairfield City School district for 40 years. She retired at the age of 78 in 2010. On January 22, 1949, in Williams, KY she married Bobby D Songer and together they enjoyed 54 years of marriage.

She is survived by her children Debra (Steve) Rogers and Douglas (Rhonda) Songer.

Grandchildren Jason (Catherine) Rogers, Brandon Rogers, Stephanie Rogers, Jennifer (Dan) Dobroszi, Dustin Songer and Brady (Alisha) Songer.

Great grandchildren Caroline Dobroszi, Annabelle Dobroszi, Amiyah Boggs, Iliza Songer, Jensen Songer, Jack Rogers and Eleanor Rogers. 

2 nieces Pamela Guynes and Karren Tribby. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sister Jolene Goebel, grandson Zachary Songer, nephew Donnie Goebel and niece Charlotte Rotroff.

Her hobbies included camping with family and friends, her pets and she was an avid reader.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 10AM until time of service (11AM) at Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield, OH, 45014 with Daniel Compston officiating. Burial immediately follows at Rose Hill Burial Park.
