Franklin D. Cope, age 74, passed away at Mercy Hospital, Fairfield, Ohio on September 7, 2008. He was born January 7, 1934 in Rockcastle County, Ky. to Robert Frank and Mossie Ann (Baker) Cope.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Zella Mae (Mullins) Cope, son Kim of Colerain Twp., daughter Robyn (Nicolas Taureau) and grandchildren Adrian Taureau and Sophie Gail Taureau of Tallahassee, Fla. and Rachael Ann Cope of Las Vegas.
One of eleven children, he is survived by six siblings, Arley (Nancy) Cope, Okeana, Ohio; Noah David Cope, Oxford, Ohio; James (Gail) Cope, Lexington, Ky; Larry Cope and Betty (Earnest) Bullock of Mount Vernon, Ky; Doris (Glen) Meadows, Berea, Ky.
Also surviving are sisters-in-law Della Myrtle Cope, Fairy Cope and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Johnny and Jesse Cope, and two sisters, Verla Hall and Shirley Price. He was employed for 25 years by Pillsbury and 13 years at General Motors retiring in 1990.
Visitation will be 12 Noon - until time of service (1:30 p.m.), Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Cremation will follow.
