Fred Bowles
September 9, 1941 — January 5, 2004
Fred Bowles, age 62, of Fairfield, passed away at University Hospital on Monday, January 5, 2004. He was born September 9, 1941, in Bond, Kentucky, the son of Herman and Lorene (Davis) Bowles.
Fred retired from General Motors, where he had worked as a forklift operator in the auto industry for many years. He not only loved working on cars, but had a great love for his dog, "Bubby."
He is survived by his wife, Inez Combs-Bowles; two sons, Dwayne and Don (Deanna) Bowles; three grandchildren, Justin, Miranda, and Kaytlin; and three sisters, Ruth (Ray) Jefferson, Irene (Dan) Erlinger, and Connie (Curt) Miller. Fred was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leroy Bowles.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2004, at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield, with Rev. Ron Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 8, at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Gideons International, P. O. Box 18-813, Fairfield, OH 45014.
