Fred D. Shropshire

Age 78, passed from this life on October 24, 2006 at the home of his daughter, Louise Robertson (Jerry Fisher). He was born in Bassett, VA on June 3, 1928 to Claude and Minnie (Marshall) Shropshire. After serving 28 years in the Air Force, he retired back to Virginia until coming to Hamilton in 2005.
He leaves behind his daughters, Louise Robertson (Jerry Fisher) and Diana Nielsen (Tom Gibb) of Oregon; grandchildren, Robert Anderson, Andy (Tasha) Anderson, Jennifer (Carmelo) Martinez Acosta of Hamilton and James Nielsen of Oregon; 6 great-grandchildren, Jose, Alexis, Juan, Jasmin, Giovanni and Makayla; sisters, Nancy Schaller of Hampton, VA and Margaret Bates of Bassett, VA; sisters-in-law, Effie (Jack) Shropshire and Mae (Russell) Shropshire; a very special friend Pastor Edwin and JoAnn Moore; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack and Russell; sisters, Blanche Hall and Lorine Shropshire.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the nurses of Hospice of Cincinnati for all the loving care they gave during his long illness. They truly brightened his days.
