Frieda Sorber, 79, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026. She was born on August 5, 1947, in Irvine, Kentucky, to the late Milton Neal and Armeda Neal (Plowman). Frieda was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy was her family. She devoted her life to caring for those she loved and was known for her kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering faith in her Lord Jesus Christ. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Randall (Gail) Sorber and Tammy Sorber. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Danielle Sorber, Devonne Desousa, Josh Sorber, Mister JP Palmieri, whom she raised as her own, Guy Sorber, Missy Sorber, Manny Sorber, and Sirgeo Ramirez, as well as three great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brothers, Luther (Vicki) Neal, Author (Sharon) Neal, Terry (Shelly) Neal, and Carl (Nancy) Neal; and many nieces and nephews. Each of them held a special place in her heart and will carry her love and memory with them always. In addition to her parents, Frieda was preceded in death by her late husband, Jack Sorber; her brother, David Neal; and her sister, Diane Bateman. Frieda’s legacy is one of unconditional love, compassion, and selflessness. She touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we rejoice in knowing that Frieda has entered her eternal home and is at peace. Her love will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
