Gail Jean Thomas, age 68, passed away on April 17, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born January 21, 1957 and grew up in Lockland and West Chester. She met her high school sweetheart, Richard, at a basketball game and later wed for 43 years but together for 50. She was a hairdresser and managed a salon until she decided to be a devoted stay at home Mother and became involved in the schools. She loved holding and playing with babies everywhere she went, both 2 and 4 legged. She was known for her positive attitude, nurturing nature, infectious laugh, humor, and quick wit. She undeniably had the ability to make even the hardest moments bearable. She unapologetically loved deeply and was loyal to her family and friends.
Gail was a woman of unwavering belief, whose love for the Lord shone through every aspect of her life. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life. She shared her faith through kindness, compassion, and an unyielding trust in God's plan.
Wife of Richard, Mother to Sarah Jividen (Scott) and Shannan Tenhover (Josh), Momo to 4 grandchildren Madison Gale, Blake Thomas, Harper Faye, and Peyton Renee. Gail is also survived by her brother, Skeeter and sister, Patty Van Zandt, along with her nieces and nephews, Bruce Van Zandt the 4th (and children), Daniel Hutzelman (Richele and children), Lisa Walsh (Dana and children), Dylan Evers, Lindsey Huff, Stephanie Rae (Cash and children). She was preceded in death by her twin, Wanda Van Zandt, mother, Alma Van Zandt, Father, Bruce Van Zandt the 2nd, and Beloved Bonus Father, Bill McCoy, and extended family.
