Garnett Bowling

Garnett Bowling age 94 of Fairfield passed away Thursday January 12, 2006 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born October 30, 1911 in Big Creek, KY, the son of William and America (Clark) Bowling. On May 25, 2004 he married Bruin Baker in Fairfield, OH. Previously he was married to Mary Bowling and Herma Bowling. Garnett worked in the Hamilton City School System Maintenance Department until his retirement in 1978, and worked in construction as a builder. He was a member of the Ben Franklin Lodge No. 719, F. & A.M. Garnett was also a founding member of the Fairfield Church of Christ. His dedication, leadership and devotion will always be gratefully remembered by his Church family.

He is survived by his wife, Bruin Bowling; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; former wives, Mary and Herma; 8 brothers; and 4 sisters.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday January 16, 2006 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Ray Jones, Alan Weber and David Hargrave officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m., Sunday January 15, 2006 at the funeral home with Masonic Blue Lodge services beginning at 3:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Fairfield Church of Christ, 745 Symmes Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014.
