Age 57 of Hamilton, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2006 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 7, 1949 in Hamilton, the daughter of Walter and Patricia (Schroer) Graf. Gayle worked as a customer service representative with Key Bank, and was a devoted member of First Saint John United Church of Christ.
Gayle was always known as a fun and loving person. She had a zest for life and loved to share her optimism with those around her. If someone needed something, she was always there. Her ability to help people, allowed her to touch the hearts of many people throughout her years. Most importantly, nothing made her smile like her family, especially her grandchildren. Her strength and her thoughtfulness were never-ending. In May, Gayle had a Celebration of Life with an open house at her home to thank people for their gratitude of support during her illness. Gayle was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She leaves behind her life partner, Bob Kerby; daughters, Heather (Shane) Lawrence and Holly Knapp; sister, Dianne (Ross) Hurst; grandchildren, Kayla, Alexis, Jordan and Riley Gayle; nieces, Michelle Hurst and Jenny (Jeremy) Hendershot; great niece and nephew, Jadyn and Jonah; special brother and sister-in-law, Diana and Gary Knapp; and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Gayle was preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, Ross Hurst.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all friends and family for their support and prayers through her illness. A special thanks to Dr. Paula Wiesenberger and Dr. Edward Crane along with their office staff as well as Hospice of Cincinnati and Nurse Samantha Covert.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 23, 2006 at 10 a.m. at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Pastor Valerie Garrick officiating.
