Geneva W. Fisher

Age 94 of Hamilton, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born June 16, 1916 in Lancaster, KY, the daughter of Thomas and Lois (McCarty) Wells. In August of 1956 Geneva married Robert Fisher in Norwood, OH. She worked in Home Education with children in Kentucky, until her retirement in 1983. Geneva attended the Bethel Community Church.
She leaves behind her son, Thomas (Anita) Barnes of Hamilton; sister, Gladys Nave of Lancaster, KY; 2 grandchildren, Sherry (David) Cox and Mark Barnes; 3 great-grandchildren, Stephanie Brandenburg, Joshua (Nicole) Cox and Bradley (Alicia) Cox; and 5 great-great grandchildren, Libby, Nickolas and Allie Brandenburg, and Isabella Doyle and Chole Cox. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 4 sisters, Ruth Wells, Lena Hawkins, Marguerite Maupin and Dorothy Robinson.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral services and burial will be in Lancaster, KY.
