George Phil Custer
June 22, 1952 — January 21, 2008
"Wildman", age 55 of Hamilton died suddenly at his home on January 21, 2008. He was born June 22, 1952 in Hamilton, the son of George W. and Aleta (VanWinkle) Custer. Phil graduated from Garfield High School and later attended Miami University. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force. Phil enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his friends playing sports, especially golf and tennis.
On October 2, 1993 he married Sharon Ann Buczolich in South Bend, IN. She later preceded him in death in 2005. Phil was also preceded in death by his parents and brother.
Phil is survived by numerous family members and many, many loving friends.
Those who knew him will miss him dearly. His close friends respected his uniqueness and positive words of encouragement. Although Wildman was a one of simple pleasures, he loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Per request, private services were held. A memorial will be announced in his honor, at a later date.
